T70 At The Mound

By: C70 At The Bat

23May2013

Yesterday was filled with so much negative pitching news off the field, it was great to get some good news on it.  That's exactly what the Cardinals got in another late night (for us) in San Diego, as Tyler Lyons...

Bouncing Back In Grand Fashion

By: C70 At The Bat

22May2013

Last time out, Adam Wainwright struggled against the Mets.  For most of the year, Daniel Descalso has struggled against everybody.  Last night, well, last night was good for everybody. There's no doubt that Dirty Dan is the Hero of last nigh...

By: C70 At The Bat

20May2013

Winning Creatively

By: C70 At The Bat

16May2013

The Cardinals have won with dominant starting pitching.  They've done that quite a lot this season, actually.  They've won with some big thumpers, though not quite as often.  When a team is winning this regularly, they've got to mix it...

11May2013

As outstanding as Shelby Miller was last night, it was almost overdue.  We shouldn't have been terribly surprised. This is a guy that took a no-hitter into the sixth in his very first major league start.  Who almost every start seems...

By: C70 At The Bat

9May2013

After their six-game winning streak was snapped, the Cardinals were in the ugly position of possibly getting swept at Wrigley Field by the last place Cubs.  (That's what a short series will do for you.)  Now, anytime you are going...

By: C70 At The Bat

6May2013

I know, the traditional cleaning implement in this situation is a broom, but sweeping up spilled product from a brewmaster just isn't going to get you very far.  The Brewers were thoroughly cleaned up and out this weekend, so any...
