Blogcat’s Season Recap, Part 3: The Final Insult

By: Bobcats Planet

19May2012

Okay, now comes the part in which I have to examine the last four guys on the Bobcats’ regular rotation.  And because I’m essentially looking at the worst four players on my favorite team, which was also the worst team in NBA history, I’ve got...

Bobcats End Season Lacking Dignity, Commas in Their Fan Appreciation Ads

By: Bobcats Planet

27Apr2012

Look at it this way, Bobcats fans: at least “.106 winning percentage” doesn’t make for a very catchy derisive chant.  Not only is Charlotte officially the worst team ever, with 23 losses to close out the season (23—the Irony-Meter’s on 10)...

NBA Elbows Post-Metta World Peace: Tyrus Thomas Gets James Singleton

By: Truth About It

24Apr2012

Someone had to be the first to throw a flagrant elbow after the Ron Artest-James Harden incident. And if Vegas had set odds, Charlotte’s Tyrus Thomas, a guy who recently got in a physical confrontation with his coach, might have been one of t...

Local Man on My Commute Probably Unaware of Being Metaphor For Bobcats’ Season

By: Bobcats Planet

21Apr2012

I spent Wednesday night watching the Bobcats get pummeled by the Bulls, and then I had to spend the following morning on the subway watching this guy get pummeled by what smelled like Old Gran Dad.  Both visual experiences were equally depressing. ...

How Would Andre Drummond Look in a Charlotte Bobcats Uniform?

By: Bobcats Planet

8Apr2012

The good thing about having one of the lottery picks in the coming draft is that it is hard to go wrong with whoever you pick. Every player that will get taken in the early part of the first round is bound to make a difference on whatever team they h...

Nobody Likes the Bobcats (And Neither Do They)

By: Bobcats Planet

29Mar2012

Poor Rick Bonnell.  Did you catch his recap of Wednesday’s latest loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves?  There are no quotes or analysis; it’s more like a set of bullet points: The Bobcats outscored the Timberwolves 20-9 in Najera’s seven fir...

Bobcats Continue to Struggle in 3rd Quarter; Also in 1st, 2nd, and 4th

By: Bobcats Planet

16Mar2012

First of all, I’m so pissed that Michael Pena of Red 94 stole my thunder.  I was all over that line from Houston Rockets color analyst/balding community icon Clyde Drexler about Tyrus Thomas not having “enough sand in his pants.”  The game wa...

The Difference: Dallas Mavericks 101, Charlotte Bobcats 96

By: The Two Man Game

16Mar2012

Box Score — Play-by-Play — Shot Chart — Game Flow You know the drill. The Difference is a reflection on the game that was, with one bullet for every point in the final margin. For the moment, Dallas is one of the shallowest deep te...

Detroit Offensive Rebound City

By: Bobcats Planet

1Mar2012

Yuck.  After Wednesday night, I can honestly say that the only thing worse than the lockout has been the actual season.  The Bobcats were flayed by the Pistons—mostly due to Greg Monroe, who had a trillion rebounds, 750 billion of which were offe...

Bobcats Midseason Recap: A Look Back in Horror

By: Bobcats Planet

26Feb2012

I thought I’d use this All Star Break as a nice chance to gasp for air in this waterboarding session of a season and not write at all about the Bobcats for a weekend.  I didn’t feel like examining this team’s first 30-odd games of the year any...
