Patrick Brian "Pat" Burrell III (born October 10, 1976, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas), nicknamed Pat the Bat, is a Major League Baseball left fielder and designated hitter for the Tampa Bay Rays. The Phillies announced on December 16, 2008, that they had signed outfielder Raúl Ibáñez to a 3-year, $31.5 million deal, replacing Burrell in the Philadelphia Phillies' outfield.
