Kevin Wayne Durant (born September 29, 1988 in Washington, D.C.) is an American professional basketball player for the Oklahoma City Thunder of the NBA. A 6'9" small forward who is also capable of playing shooting guard, Durant was the consensus 2007 National College Player of the Year, in addition to being selected as the 2006–2007 Big 12 Player of the Year, amongst other awards.
