José Bernabé Reyes (born June 11, 1983) is a Dominican baseball player, who plays shortstop for the New York Mets of Major League Baseball. He led the major leagues in triples in 2005, 2006 and 2008, and led the National League in stolen bases in 2005, 2006 and 2007. He is also the Mets all-time leader in both triples and stolen bases. Reyes was spotted by New York Mets scouts Eddy Toledo and Juan Mercado during a tryout camp in Santiago in the summer of 1999.
