John Joseph "Jack" Hannahan IV (born March 4, 1980, in St. Paul, Minnesota) is a Major League Baseball infielder for the Seattle Mariners. He is mainly a third baseman, but has also played other infield positions. Hannahan's older brother, Buzz, was the 1998 Division III Baseball Player of the Year at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. Buzz played for several years in the Philadelphia Phillies organization. Hannahan went to Cretin-Derham Hall High School, also the alma mater of Minnesota Twins All-Star catcher Joe Mauer and former major league great Paul Molitor. He played American Legion baseball for the Hamline Hamchucks. He attended The University of Minnesota for college, where he was named an All-American.
