Ichiro Suzuki (鈴木 一朗, Suzuki Ichirō), often known simply as Ichiro (イチロー, Ichirō), (born October 22, 1973, in Kasugai, Nishikasugai, Aichi Prefecture, Japan) is a Major League Baseball outfielder for the Seattle Mariners. Ichiro has established a number of batting records, including the sport's single-season record for base hits with 262.
