Gabriel Sanchez (born September 2, 1983 in Miami, Florida) is a Major League Baseball first baseman for the Florida Marlins. He bats and throws right-handed and has Cuban decent Sanchez was drafted out of high school by the Seattle Mariners in the 15th round of the 2002 Major League Baseball Draft, but chose to attend the University of Miami instead. He was drafted by the Florida Marlins in the 4th round of the 2005 Major League Baseball Draft, and did sign.
