Edgar Enrique Rentería (Spanish pronunciation: [renteˈɾia]; born August 7, 1975, in Barranquilla, Colombia) is a Major League Baseball shortstop for the San Francisco Giants. He is the first Colombian to play in the World Series. Signed by the Florida Marlins as a non-amateur free agent in 1992, Rentería made his debut in the 1996 season.
