Derrick James Mason (born January 17, 1974 in Detroit, Michigan) is an American football wide receiver who plays for the Baltimore Ravens and went to Michigan State. On July 13, 2009, he announced he would be retiring, but came out of retirement on August 1. Mason attended Mumford High School in Detroit, Michigan. He set a school record for both catches (70) and receiving yards (1,243). Mason played college football at Michigan State.
