David Douglas Garrard (born February 14, 1978 in Plainfield, New Jersey) is an American football quarterback for the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Jaguars in the 4th round of the 2002 NFL Draft. He played college football at East Carolina University. David Garrard grew up in Durham, North Carolina, where he attended Southern High School. Garrard was 14 years old when his mother died from breast cancer.
