John Brodie Croyle (pronounced /ˈkrɔɪl/; born February 6, 1983 in Rainbow City, Alabama) is an American football quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Chiefs in the third round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He played college football for the University of Alabama from 2002 to 2005. Despite being hindered by knee injuries in his senior season in high school, Croyle was a highly recruited prospect by Louisiana State University, Florida State University and the University of Alabama. On the night Croyle was ready to announce his decision to attend Florida State, he changed his mind and chose Alabama, his father's alma mater, instead.
